a list of some of my current favorite things at the moment, these are things that really resonated with meā¦!!! (note that this does not equate to āgood,ā whatever that means.) subject to change at any timeā¦

persona 3
THIS HAS BEEN MY LONG TIME FAVORITE GAME SINCE IT BECAME A PART OF MY LIFE IN AUGUST 2021!!! I LOVE PERSONA 3!!! i think everyone knows this about me but it bears repeating nevertheless!
the way persona 3 handles the themes of life and death has made it a cornerstone in my lifeā¦ whenever i go through hardship, i find myself thinking about this game to give me hope. anyone who looks at my socials for five minutes will know that my favorite characters are the persona 3 protagonist (minato arisato the love of my life) and ryoji mochizuki. theyāre both such good representations of the themes of the game (in conjunction with aigis, they would not be the characters they are without her).
but favoritism aside, i think that all of the cast members are exceptional (YUKARI TAKEBA THE GIRL THAT YOU ARE!!! sheās so realistic with how she handles her grief, itās refreshing). thereās a lot to love about this game and itās setting and i find something to love about the characters every time i go through it.
for those who are curious: my favorite version of persona 3 is FES. while i have experience with reload (100% SL + all trophies except the 50k yen one) and portable (watched a playthrough of it), the graphics of FES + the janky mechanics hold a special place in my heartā¦
splatoon (series)
iāve loved this series since itās debut on the wii u in 2015! while i was a very casual player back then, i was entranced by the music and funny little character designs. it wasnāt until splatoon 3 that i got hooked on this series. i think i have at least 1.7k hours across all the splatoon games š¤Æ
i love this series for a multitude of reasons, including, but not limited to:
- the gameplay: ITS SOOO FUN and thereās so much to learn! i am especially fond of salmon run, but i find the gameplay loop to be enjoyable in both PVP and solo content.
- the worldbuilding: the stages in this game do an exceptional job at getting you immersed in the world and imagining the everyday lives of the characters. and if you go into the artbooksā¦ there will be more to loveā¦!!!
- the fashion: i owe my entire life to toni kensa. but seriously though, thereās such a nice assortment of gear available, itās like iām playing dress upsā¦
- the music: SUCH A BOP!!!! my personal favorite bands are h2whoa, chirpy chips, and sashimori.
i like to play a lot of diferent weapons, but my top favorites are: squiffer, octobrush, and inkbrush!
sonic the hedgehog (series)
sonic has been an on-and-off interest sinceā¦ 2009? 2010? i only really started getting more invested in it in late 2024 with the release of sonic x shadow generations (and watching sonic boom a few months beforehand).
there is something so inspiring to me about how this series has continued to persist for the past three decades despite some of the games not being āhits.ā i personally think itās because sonicās core characteristics have stayed the same regardless of what game youāre playing. he embodies the ācoolā factor very well, but i also feel that sonic really encourages you to live your most authentic life in the present?! and thatās just really cool to meā¦
my personal favorite entries: sonic colors (ds and wii), sonic and the black knight, sonic 06, sonic generations
other notable things that i like
(but i didnāt want to type up a whole thing for them. maybe at a later date though)
- ghost trick: PLAY IT!!! great visuals and music with a story thatās tied so well to the game mechanics.
- mario kart: i really love learning things about this seriesā¦ iām very casual and my favorite entry is wii (childhood nostalgia)! i love listening to the ost as wellā¦
- mario party: the minigames are so fun, i have so many memories of playing the ones on the DS version. also, i think itās just fun to watch people play this.
thereās probably more things i like that iām forgettingā¦ iāll add it later as i rememberā¦!!!

i watched this from september to october 2024 and WOW I WAS HOOKED!!! if you like thinking about the rules and limitations of a character with supernatural powers, i think that this show will give you a lot of food for thoughtā¦
warning that this show is VERY much an emotional rollercoaster with how quickly things will escalate. i had to take several breaks while watching it š
